Ingham Spring Dam Removal Study 2004

Funding: Bucks County Trout Unlimited, $2,500
Project Partners: F.X. Browne

The Ingham Spring Dam Removal Study marked the beginning of the chapter’s effort in making known the harmful thermal effects of Aquetong Lake on Aquetong Creek downstream of the impoundment.  The study included a dam inspection, water quality monitoring and temperature monitoring.  Significantly, the temperature monitoring showed that in the summer of 2004 Aquetong Lake warmed the water emanating from Ingham Spring by an average of 15 degrees F.  The complete Ingham Spring Dam Removal Study can be viewed here.
